As "Pachano" referred to the first gold coin minted in Venezuela. Their value was 100 bolívares, there were only 4 coins over the years 1886, 1887, 1888, and 1889. Then a small history about this coin.
By. Victor Torrealba
To the year 1885, General Antonio Guzmán Blanco signed an agreement in London with Miguel Tejera to the installation of a new Mint with headquarters in Caracas or La Guaira, and whose raw would be the gold extracted from the mines in Guyana. Tejera joined the French company C. a. grant. La Monnaie, which was akin to the brothers Péreire business group. The contract valid for 20 years stipulated that the new Institute was coining four million bolivars in gold and silver. The new Mint was opened by Guzmán Blanco on October 16, 1886, and was located in the corner of the stamp. The Government became supervisor of the minting of coins through a national Inspector belonging to the Ministry of the Interior. According to Mercedes Charlotte of Brown in his book "Venezuelan coins", "Pachano" name was given to the currency, with a comment that the President made to receive it from the hands of General Jacinto. R. Pachano, Inspector of the national Government; White said: "good, Pachano", hence these coins were nicknamed that way. Then the copy went to the National Museum.

The Caracas monetary settlement, whose operational life lasted only for 1886-1889, Dr. Carlota Mercedes Pardo, in his book, relates that, after a series of encounters and clashes between the National Government and the "MONNAIE" Company,
The color of gold coins minted in Caracas between 1886 and 1889 is a light yellow with a certain greenish hue. This is because that Guyana, used in the minting of these coins, gold contained particles of arsenic, causing slight greenish hue, while the silver used in the alloy gave a more yellowish.
Due to ignorance, to these currencies you used to call and even do some people, "morocotas", initially the morocota was the name popularly given to the United States $ 20 gold coin, and when left the pachano, as also of gold, associated with the $ 20 and was confused by calling either morocota to any gold coin of that size.
